As part of my biology class in college, we were asked to form groups of five and conduct our very own research about water ecosystems; it could be freshwater ecosystems or marine ecosystems.  For our group we decided to make most out of this project, and headed towards the beach. It was only a minor research project, so about two days at the beach will be sufficient to get samples and data of marine organisms.

After observing and taking down notes on organisms at the shore, we wanted to rent a boat and dive out to sea to collect a few samples and take pictures of marine animals.  But before heading out to sea, we had to check the Boat Supplies like life vests, tow boats, tow ropes, compasses, radios, Bilge Pumps and etc.  Although an experienced captain was coming along, we still wanted to make sure of our safety that all the necessary Boating Supplies are there.  We were quite satisfied with the pictures and samples that we got.  We just needed to take the water sample back to the university to check for microscopic organisms.  This research project was both educational and fun at the same time.
