Skipping my warm-up exercises
We were about to start gym class, and every time, we do warm-up exercises and stretching before and after a game. However, this time I was so late for gym class that I missed the warm-ups and stretches, and since our gym instructor wasn’t around, I didn’t do any warm-up or stretching exercises. I went into the bench and waited for my turn to play basketball.
It was really fun playing basketball, I even made a few points. However, when I woke up the next day, my legs were painful every time I moved them, even walking and climbing the stairs were hard for me. I complained about it during breakfast, and my dad said it was only Muscle Pain since I skipped my warm-up yesterday. I was experiencing Groin Pain and I have a Hamstring Injury that I could barely walk at all. I missed school and was instructed to rest, put an ice on the pulled muscle, compress and elevate my legs to prevent it from swelling. I learned not to skip up warm-up exercises and stretching the painful way.
